Return of the Unnamed Band

As you may or may not know, Greg is no longer in the band. It's a sad, sad day since you been gone.... oh well, people got to do their own thing I wish him luck in all things Greckley. See you down the road sometime, dude.

So we now have no name. 1320 was only for the NHRA show/debacle, and Inner Rhythm is not going to happen (the website is using that nom de plume), so let's have a contest to name our rocking all-new project. Please chime in and email me at meshers23@yahoo.com and share your ideas for a cool band name. On August 15, I will post a poll and let the people speak. The winner will receive an IRStudios production bundle of their choice, so let me know what you think.

7.5 Quake Rocks Indonesia

Could secret, deep-earth tomographic imaging technology used to locate petroleum deposits be triggering earthquakes? Or could oil lubricate portions of the crust and lessen earthquake intensity? It seems like anything is possible. Conspiracy Snausage fer sure! From CNN
JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- A powerful earthquake shook buildings and caused panic on the densely-populated Indonesian island of Java, but there have been no reports of injuries and no tsunami alert. The quake, measured at magnitude 7.5 by the U.S. Geological Survey, struck shortly after midnight in a part of the sea dotted with oil rig platforms, Financial Times journalist John Aglionby told CNN International. According to CNN's Kathy Quiano, the shaking caused many in the capital to flee their homes. "We felt the earthquake in Jakarta, it was pretty strong and went on for at least a minute." "It was pretty strong and scary," Quiano said. "People are shaken, that's for certain." And Aglionby said there were still concerns for the many oil rigs exploiting the resource rich waters off the north coast of Java.

Beltway Betrayal
Democrats, bowing to pressure from the White House, passed legislation to give the prez expanded spying powers late yesterday. The move created a stir with the ACLU and other groups who support constitutional freedoms over fear of terrorism. It seems the spinelessness continues in spite of the double majority in Congress, and the polls showing a real dissatisfaction with our collective direction. We can defeat violent radicals with our dignity and liberty intact. Fortunately, this is a temporary measure, so let's hope we regain a firm grip on the reins of our great nation as soon as possible. Take back your power, VOTE!
